Gariful is an experience, the staff is amazing and quick to help with any question or order. Food is tasty and perfectly done, from proscuitto and cheese to shrimp and dessert everything tastes wonderful. We've got a bowl of fruits and Lemon liquer on the house. The prices are a bit higher, but You get what You pay for. Can't wait to get back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful setting with exceptional seafood - highly recommend the scallops, the paccheri, the mussels, the sushi and the chocolate and the lemon cakes (the tartare and the ceviche are alright). It’s quite expensive, though worth the good service and great atmosphere with live music on the terrace. Hope to be back!
Gariful is the quintessential Hvar glamor spot, right on the marina in town but at one end so a little away from the very crowded areas which tend to be full of younger boistrous drinkers. The menu is well curated with a diverse selection of seafood, meats and appealing appetizers. The grill is wood fired and right near the dining tables with the fish all on display in iced cabinets. The prices match the glamor and are definitely on the high side and maybe even a little too high for the execution. The food was not jaw dropping but was nice. The spinach pesto pasta was really not good so avoid! The oysters were very large and meaty so also probably not the best choice. The wine list is steeply priced but has some great local selections. The service is a little confronting and at times overwhelming with an odd pressure put on you not to pay by credit card with an unlikely excuse given that it takes them 90 days to be paid......
We wanted to check why all the world's celebrities go to Gariful and if all the stories of the best fish restaurant in Croatia are true. Well, after having dined here, there needs to be a new category - one of a dining experience because that is exactly what Gariful will provide! An amazing selection of fresh fish and seafood, sushi at the freshest, yummy deserts! Garuful place actually covers several dining areas ie waterfront terrace, upper floor or mezzanine and top floor. The location is amazing where you have Hvar town and view of Pakleni islands, fast and very friendly service and entertainment on site (fire juggling, live music). Besides amazing seafood we had (lobster with pasta), prosecco and wine of the finest Italian and local producers, chocolate ganache...ahhhh one could get used to the celeb lifestyle so fast! Garuful is a must visit dining experience when on Hvar!
Gariful is a Hvar’s institution. Some of the best fish on the adriatic, great service, and great food. They have their own fisherman, so the catch is always the freshest. Price for a dinner for 4 people, wine, several appetizers, huge 2+kg john dory came to about 550 euros. Not cheap by any standard, but you get what you pay and you probably wouldn’t come out much cheaper for a similar meal in any other high end restaurant in Croatia be it in Zagreb or om thr coast.
Don’t pay much attention to negative reviews as they are mostly from people who walked and had no clue what this restaurant is about, or complaining about quality of sushi (?!?) and so on.

We had dinner in Gariful G spot..sushi was extraordinary and service spectacular, Young lady recommended us a great bottle of wine 🙌🏻 It is very unique sitting on the terrace of most beautiful view and lounge bar😍 I highly recommended to order sushi with local fish
